How it works

From the day a job is set up to the day it's handed over, on one record.

Here's how a job moves through SeamusHQ, from the day it's set up to the day it's closed out.

  1. You set up the job.

Set up to Mobilise: Drawings, team, key dates

  2. You buy it.

Mobilise to Build: Quotes out, orders placed

  3. You build it.

    Build: Sign-ins, diary, RFIs

  4. You keep it right.

Mobilise to Close out: Inspections, certificates, insurance

  5. You hand it over.

Hand over to Close out: Handover file, snags

  1. You set up the job.

    Set up to Mobilise

Its drawings, documents, key dates and the people on it go in one place, and it moves through Set up, Mobilise, Build, Hand over and Close out.

Name the job team, file the first documents and work through the setup and mobilisation steps the job plan lays out. The job’s home page keeps its stage, programme, people and next tasks in view.

Ballyrinn Hub on a phone: Next for you, with the canopy plate detail RFI late since 12 October, a payment claim, two quotes in and the Bay D coating review.
  2. You buy it.

    Mobilise to Build

Quote requests go out to several suppliers, replies are compared side by side and orders are placed against the job.

Compare line prices and delivery before you pick a supplier, and an approver can check the order before it goes out. The order’s own steps then track it from sent to delivered and invoiced.

Order PO-105 to Lantern Forge & Steel: steel beams, bolt sets and end plates, with delivery, coming to €24,512 ex VAT.

Build

You build it.

Crews sign in on site, the diary and RFIs are kept as you go, and the current revision of every drawing is marked in the register.

The day’s diary covers the weather, what was done on site, the crew, deliveries, visitors, safety and delays, with the crew filled in from that day’s sign-ins. Every RFI has someone responsible for getting the answer back.

The Ballyrinn Hub site diary on a phone: the weather, what was done that day and the people on site, from six sign-ins.
RFI-014 Canopy plate detail on Ballyrinn Hub, two days late and marked as yours, with an Answer RFI button.

Mobilise to Close out

You keep it right.

Inspections, certificates and insurance sit with the job and the company, with expiry dates in view. Record what an inspection found and anything that needs following up. Certificates and insurance keep their review and expiry dates on the company or job record they belong to.

Inspections on Ballyrinn Hub: the Bay C frame release and the canopy bolt checks done, and the Bay D coating review started and due today.
Quality on a phone: two inspections done, the Bay D coating review due today, and the job's quality files with their current revisions.

Hand over to Close out

You hand it over.

The records are already with the job, not in a folder someone took home.

Put the handover file together and work through the snag list as the job moves into Hand over, then close out what’s left.

The job plan on Ballyrinn Hub: Set up and Mobilise done, Build under way, then Hand over and Close out.

And if you tender for public work.

SeamusHQ gathers new notices every weekday and scores them against your profile, so the next job starts in the same place.

Tenders and opportunities

Take a proper look before you take our word for it.

Ruairí will show you around SeamusHQ, from setting up a job to the week's timesheets, and you can put a question to Seamus yourself. Send an email or give him a ring, whichever suits.
