Everyday digital assistance

Meet Seamus. He's read the job file so you don't have to.

Seamus is the digital assistant built into SeamusHQ. Type a question in plain English and he answers from your records.

Ask about your company records

Which quotes are still out on Ballyrinn Hub?

PR-0027, the Ballyrinn frame package , went to three suppliers. Lantern Forge & Steel and North Ferry Fixings have priced it, but Copperline Coatings hasn't come back. PO-105 is ready for Lantern, but the request is open till Friday at four if you want Copperline's price first. Will I send them a reminder?

Approvals and submissions stay with you.

Start with the question you actually have.

Type it the way you'd say it to someone in the office. Press any of these and he'll answer it.

Finding answers in your records

Ask about any job, document, person or date and he answers from your records, down to a policy number in a file you'd forgotten. Attach a PDF, spreadsheet or photo and he'll read that too.

The job, the programme and the diary

He reads back the state of play on any job and what's holding it up. He'll compare a new programme with the one you're working to, and add to the site diary as you tell him.

RFIs, drawings and documents

He raises RFIs and tells you which are late and who's chasing them. He knows the latest revision of every drawing in the register, and drafts a RAMS or other Word document for you to check.

Buying, suppliers and client proposals

Tell him what you need priced and he drafts the request, sends it on your yes and chases the quiet ones. He reads you the comparison and drafts client proposals for you to check and save.

Staff tracking, timesheets and leave

Crews sign in and out with the SeamusHQ phone app, and Seamus reads those sign-ins, so the office can ask who's where and how the week's hours add up. He puts in your own leave, too.

Compliance, quality and training

Ask what's due, from insurance and certificates to training cards, and he updates the record when something's renewed. He'll set up your ISO system with you, though passing the audit is down to you.

Getting set up, and getting about

He tells you what your company setup is still missing, opens the right page, fills in the form you have open for you to check, and remembers the way your company says things.

He asks before he saves, and there's an Undo.

Seamus reads anything you're allowed to see, but before he saves or changes anything, he sets out exactly what he's going to do and asks you once.

Anything leaving the company, like an RFI going to the engineer, is shown to you first with who it's going to. If the recipient, the amount or the record changes, he asks again.

A few everyday things he does straight away, because asking twice would be daft: filing documents, putting in your own leave and setting your own reminders. Each comes with an Undo.

Seamus setting out an RFI before he saves it: the title, the job, the answer date and who chases it, then asking once whether to save it.

He works inside your permissions.

Seamus works through the signed-in person's account, so he only sees what they can. People who can't see a job's costs won't get the amounts from him either.

Tell him once and he'll remember.

If you ask him to remember something, like what your company calls the ground floor, he will. You can see what he remembers, and take any of it out, on its own page.

Bring a question your team deals with every week and Ruairí will put it to Seamus on the demo.
